Merrill Feitell

Merrill Feitell’s first book, Here Beneath Low-Flying Planes, won the Iowa Short Fiction Award and her stories have appeared in such publications as McSweeney’s Quarterly, American Short Fiction, Los Angeles Review of Books, and Best New American Voices. She earned her MFA at Columbia University and has been teaching creative writing to undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students for 15 years—currently in the Writers’ Program at UCLA Extension. A member of the Los Angeles Writers and Editors group, she offers ghostwriting, editing, and manuscript manuscript consultations. She lives in Altadena and is at work on a memoir.
