A vibrant 91 year old, Julie Parker is a longtime Altadenan who has taught yoga, French, English, and has been a journalist and columnist. She has written a memoir presenting a fresh theory on her mental illness as heroic journey. While waiting for publication, Julie does readings on school campuses, at book clubs, community centers, galleries and stores, handing out a chapbook of the first 4 chapters. A graduate of Middlebury College, with a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, 1992, Julie shares an inspiring view of a dread illness conquered in part thanks to the crucial support of a stalwart partner and beautiful family.
