John Martinez

John Martinez is a poet and musician. He attended Fresno State University, where he studied poetry under Philip Levine in the late 1970s and early 80s. He has published sporadically in various anthologies over the years, and regularly performs his poetry (most recently, with a live band). In the mid 80’s, he toured with famed American poet, Juan Felipe Hererra. His new book, A Congregation of Trees, is slated for publication in 2024.
